New App Features

You Now Get Points For Seeing Cats! 

We just celebrated our one-year anniversary! With over 1,500 users in 42 different states, our cat-spotting movement is growing. And we’re excited to announce some brand new features that you’ll see when you open the app. 

You now get points for seeing cats and leaving comments, and the Leaderboard and Badges will be coming soon. We also launched the Cat Wall, a dedicated public profile for your cats. 

The new version of Whisker Tracker is live! 

Whisker Tracker Version 2.1 (September 2025)

⭐️ You now get points for your cat sightings and leaving comments on other cat profiles, and we have badges and leaderboards in the works.

😸 The Cat Wall is live! Each cat has a public comment wall and a list of the cat’s other profiles. Connect your cats with facial recognition and share your comments on the Cat Wall!

📲 We activated push notifications, so you’ll be notified when someone matches with your cats or leaves you comments.

🤑 Lastly, we just dropped the price to $0.99 per month! All the features remain free, but you can now have unlimited cat profiles for less than $1! But you’d better hurry, this deal won’t last furever! 

Whisker Tracker version 2.0 (February 2025)

I’m excited to announce that the Cat Facial Recognition and Cat Wall features are now live. These new features allow you to connect with other cat lovers in your area. When you open the app, you’ll be prompted to update to the newest version from the app store.

Here are a few of the new features that were released in 2.0. Below are a few screenshots of how to use the new features. Happy cat spotting! 

Cat Facial Recognition – Now, when you take or upload a cat picture, we’ll scan our database and show you other potential profiles of the same cat. This combines all the profiles of the same cat into one location, so you can chat with other cat finders in your area.

Cat Wall – Each cat now has a Public Profile, which hides their location, but enables a Public Comment wall. Connect with other cat lovers and leave comments about nearby community cats!

Rescue Referral Codes – Do you work with a rescue or shelter? We’re offering referral codes so when a user signs up for the Premium version, we’ll donate 25% of the recurring revenue to your organization. Select a Profile Photo – Did you know you can select a profile photo for each cat? Simply click on one of your cat’s photos and open the menu (three dots) to access the Select Profile photo option.
